Open Mind

from Urine Nation by Urine Nation

lyrics

As I take another page from the journal in my mind I set the stage by leaving my troubles behind. Laughter comes like a dream in a made-up land where figures are distorted I have to climb to stand. And the need for insight becomes a waste as the hunger for love takes over the taste. I need a place where I can be a free as the birds and fly away. I need a time that I can leave myself, not think about my problems or anybody else. As I close the book that brought me there I feel as if I'm floating on a wave of air. I catch the scent of a mystical paradise where water is sacred so we walk on ice. As I drift further my mind recollects what everybody wanted but no one can get. I need a place where I can be as free as the birds and fly away. I need a time when I can leave myself, not think about my problems or anybody else. I need to find someone who's at my kind with open arms and open mind.
